POBC-krieket: Die begin van ’n nuwe era
Op Saterdag 9 Mei het die mooiste herfsdag die Paarl begroet en dit was toe reeds al ’n aanduiding dat ’n baie spesiale dag voorlê.
Ná vier jaar van planne beraam en organisering het die heel eerste Paarl Old Boys’ Classic (POBC) krieketwedstryd eindelik tussen die “ou manne” van Paarl Gimnasium en HJS plaasgevind.

THE SCHOOL SONG and EMBLEM
In 1911 a committee was appointed to find a suitable school song for Boys’ High. They wisely decided to have a competition with 31 October 1912 as the closing date for entries. Prize money of one guinea (R2,10) was offered for the words and music respectively of the song accepted by the committee. When the closing date arrived, no acceptable entry had been received.
